Revista Latinoamericana de Química is committed to maintaining the highest ethical standards in research and publication. We adhere to international best practices to ensure integrity, transparency, and fairness in all our publishing activities.

Publication Ethics:

  • Authors must submit original work that has not been published or is under consideration elsewhere.
  • Proper citations and acknowledgments must be included for all referenced work.
  • Plagiarism in any form is strictly prohibited and will result in rejection or retraction of the manuscript.
  • Fabrication or manipulation of data is considered unethical and will not be tolerated.
  • Authors must disclose any conflicts of interest that may influence the research or its interpretation.

Peer Review Policy:

  • All submitted manuscripts undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process.
  • Reviewers must provide unbiased, constructive feedback to improve the quality of submissions.
  • Editors and reviewers must maintain confidentiality regarding submitted manuscripts.

Authorship & Contributions:

  • All listed authors must have made significant contributions to the research.
  • Ghostwriting and honorary authorship are not allowed.
  • Any changes in authorship must be justified and approved by all contributing authors.

Data Sharing & Reproducibility:

  • Authors should provide access to underlying data upon request to support verification of results.
  • Research involving human or animal subjects must comply with ethical guidelines and be approved by relevant institutional review boards.

Plagiarism & Misconduct:

  • The journal employs plagiarism detection software to screen submissions.
  • Allegations of misconduct will be investigated thoroughly, and appropriate actions, including retractions or corrections, will be taken when necessary.

Open Access & Licensing:

  • All articles are published under an open-access model, ensuring free availability to readers worldwide.
  • Authors retain copyright but grant the journal the right to publish and distribute their work.
